Ball Demos
Hands-on sessions where bowlers throw different cores and coverstocks back to back and learn why the ball did what it did.
Bowling is more than a sport.
It creates opportunity, careers, social entertainment, community, and lifelong health benefits. It's one of the only sports a person can play — recreationally, socially, and competitively — from as young as two years old to a hundred and beyond.
The Path2Pocket Foundation brings bowling education to underserved neighborhoods, teaching youth and adults the sport. Through sponsors and partnerships, we provide free and reduced-price equipment, coaching, and scholarships.

Co-hosted with USBC Southeast PA at V&S Elmwood Lanes. Learn from and bowl alongside PBA and PWBA champions — Sean Rash, Bill O'Neil, Kelly Kulick, Tim Foy Jr., and Danielle Urbano — plus a ball demo day featuring the top brands. At least 20 retired Brunswick balls go home with bowlers free.

Why It Matters
The doors
bowling opens.
Bowling gives back more than almost any sport, and it keeps giving back for a lifetime. Most of our work is making sure people in our communities know that — and have what they need to walk through the door.
- Scholarships. Bowling pays for college. In underserved schools, students and families often have no idea that's true.
- Careers. Coaching, pro shop work, center operations, and the professional tours are all real paths in this sport.
- Community. Leagues and tournaments are some of the most durable social structures a neighborhood has.
- A lifetime of it. Age two to a hundred-plus, recreational to competitive, with real health benefits at every stage.
How We Work
Education first,

Every program we run is built to teach something, not just hand something over. Ticketed clinics and demo days fund the equipment and scholarships we give away.
Coaching Clinics
Instruction from working coaches and touring pros — including our January clinic with PBA Hall of Famer Parker Bohn III.
Sport Pattern Play
Tournaments on competitive oil patterns, putting bowlers in an environment their league and local events never provide.
Equipment Access
Free and discounted balls, shoes, and drilling through our partner pro shop — fitted properly, not handed off a rack.
The Brunswick Program

Brunswick Bowling donates retired equipment to the Foundation. Most charities would just give it away. We do that too — but first we teach with it.
- Core types. Symmetric versus asymmetric, and what each one actually does down lane.
- Coverstocks. Reactive, urethane, plastic — matched to pattern and condition.
- Surface adjustments. How grit changes reaction, and how to maintain a ball instead of replacing it.
- Layouts. Why the same ball drilled two ways behaves like two different balls.
A bowler leaves a demo day with a ball and the vocabulary to talk to a pro shop about the next one.
